The assault resulted in the temporary closure of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

These detentions come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
